American steak house meets trendy dining; the tucked away Cattle Grid, Leeds encompasses the exclusive and modern feel recently being brought to the Corn Exchange corner of the city.
After perusing the menu- as I tend to do when visiting somewhere new- I had already decided on the ribs, well chosen I feel. I strongly recommend the special recipe baby back sauce, the full rack isn’t for the faint hearted as the half was plenty for me.
The gourmet burgers look incredible- toasted bread buns and well matched toppings, but with a trip to GBK soon, I gave them a miss. Having also tasted the sirloin too, its clear Cattle Grid offers a great selection of tender, naturally reared beef steaks with butters and sauces to accompany them. (still unsure what Harrisa is…)
There is always something about seeing the jacket left on chips which makes them extra tasty, definitely ordering a whole bowl to take home next time.
Interesting choice of décor with brightly lit cows grazing in lush green fields, whilst you tuck into your succulent steak, but it added a little light hearted humour to the moody evening ambience.
