Construction Leeds, a project run by re’new engages the whole supply chain on major developments within Leeds to ensure they make a real difference to the residents and businesses that surround them. It helps the construction industry and local public, private and third sectors to work together to address training, employment and business development needs.
Construction Leeds successfully operates closely with Southdale Housing to provide opportunities for young people to gain apprenticeship experience. In light of university, further education and qualifications becoming less accessible for those from less privileged backgrounds due to rising tuition fees, this topic has been increasing discussed in the media.
