Today instead of being in the sun, the Leeds Met media studio has got me imprisoned, or more specifically the university’s PhotoShop has got me hooked.
As I’m putting together my final year portfolio, I’m sharing just this one item, as the full 15 will be available on my accomplishment section once I’ve compiled all the best of my PR work over the last year.
Let me know what you think, the deadline is May 1, so plenty of time for improvements…
My new A3 portfolio has a arrived, so now its mouse clicking and paper gluing time!
Set in the Skipton’s stunning Broughton Hall estate, The Magic Loungeabout delivered its ethos of a refined rewind to its growing popularity for a third year. As the sun shone over the most chilled out weekend (29,30 and 31 July). I had the opportunity to work with wedobars over the three day festival, helping them supply, manage and offer outstanding service expected of a fully stocked bar in the centre of a North Yorkshire field.
Broughton Hall Estate
I was surprised to find the camping facilities to be a great standard overlooking showground with hot running showers even by the third day, accommodating for its family friendly demographic. As the VIP tepee tents were providing “room service” not what I’m preparing for at next weekend’s V Festival the chance to do Glamping was evident.
Music Suitable For All Ages!

I ❤ Ed Sherran
A huge highlight for me was seeing Ed Sheeran perform on the Sunday afternoon with an intimate audience. The up and coming local Suffolk star, has been playing across the UK over the festival season, with he’s latest “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You” track sure to surpass his debut success.
The Magic Loungeabout when beyond expectations, working a festival is defiantly something I would love to do in the future. With a big thank you to my lovely group of friends that made it one not to forget and helping me survive my camping inexperience’s.

Lounging About with James, Chris, Olly and Me!
It’s the season for that bright warm wedding, but what season isn’t perfect for a wedding?
Working for the last year, to enable me to spend this summer (my last summer) to relax, enjoy, holiday and not lift a finger, has left me instead searching for something other then being a on-call taxi; I can’t stop myself finding little projects and work to kept me busy.
So I want to share a great wedding proposal , with one of my own!
Trying to get ahead before I start my final semesters of university, I’ve also been looking seriously on where I want to be in a years time. (Seeing many of my peers finding roles which allows them to continue the lifestyle they have come accustom to, without utilising their degree)
This brings me smoothly to a proposal and opportunity I will pursue…
I had a great time putting this pictorial covering letter together on Photoshop!
Think different… Be Different!
Well here marks the end of my block placement year at Different PR.
Experiencing a regional public relations agency in the heart of North Yorkshire, Different’s Harrogate office operates with instead of for its clients and its family approach is one which has been a real pleasure to be apart of.
Thanks to Directors’ David Simister and Richard Chew, I’ve gained invaluable knowledge, growing my ability and confidence which I will apply in my last academic year at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Having huge responsibility I’ve been involved with all its activity throughout the diverse industries and sectors it services. This has given me a well rounded platform to begin the next stage of my progression.
I can’t speak more highly of Different PR and feel honored to have spelt my year (feels like 5 minutes) with them.
It’s what makes us Different… makes us stand out!
